Chambers are constructed from 100% CFC free closed cell rigid interlocking polyurethane panels. Floors are made from insulated panels overlaid with a non-slip aluminium floor covering. The chamber is fitted with an insulated door with an aperture of 800mm wide by 2000mm high.		Chambers are fitted with air handling units which provide heating and cooling control to give the correct environment at optimum energy efficiency. Black heat resistance heaters provide the necessary heating while refrigeration with modulated control provides cooling using the latest refrigerants.


If humidity is controlled a proportionally controlled steam generator is used to raise humidity. Using a steam generator ensures that water entering the chamber is biologically safe, scale free and maximises energy efficiency. Where low humidity is required the air handling unit is used to condense water vapour.

Electronically controlled, high frequency T5 fluorescent lighting technology is used to provide flicker free light.

For personnel safety chambers are fitted with a lockable door with an internal release and a panic button.

Samples are protected by user settable thermostatic alarms and the chamber itself is protected by a factory set thermostat.
